My 5 favorite pregnancy comfort items

As most of you know I am currently pregnant with my second child. While I am grateful the first pregnancy was a breeze, I am not so lucky this time around. Aside from the many complications in the beginning of my pregnancy I can say this pregnancy has come with a lot of body pain and discomfort. It’s only to be expected with all the changes going on with my body and some days it gets pretty hard to get around sometimes. but with the help of a few things I am finally beginning to manage these changes. So here are my top 5 favorite items that have helped me get through this journey. Links to each item included below

1. Pregnancy pillow

Finding a comfortable position with a growing human inside you can be a difficult task and without a million and one pillows stuffed around you it can be hard to sleep. So instead I opted for a pregnancy pillow and it has become my best friend when it comes to sleep. It fits perfectly to my body giving the right support all around especially around my stomach and back. Allowing me to get more hours asleep instead of tossing and turning all night.

2. Heating pad

Using a heating pad while I sit on the sofa has helped relax the muscles in my back and hips which is a must especially when I sit for too long.

3. Medicine ball

Bouncing on a medicine ball is a life saver for the times when you want to sit but you want to keep moving so your muscles don’t get tight. Having a medicine ball is a great alternative to use. I use mine while doing my hair, putting on makeup or working on my Laptop. Keeping myself moving without being on my feet so long has changed the game for me.

4. Massage gun

A massage gun is the holy grail of essential items while pregnant. As a working mom being out and about can take a huge toll on my body by the time I get home. having a massage gun to help get the kinks out of my hips has helped me so much. It can be nice to use on your own but if you have someone to help you while you just bounce on your massage ball it’s the ultimate combo to release the tension in your hips at the end of the day

5. Epsom salt bath

Last but not least is the dr Schulz epsom salt bath soak. I prefer the lavender bath soak at the end of my day. To just soak and prepare for my night you can’t go wrong with a nice candle and a bubble bath to help relax your whole body after a long day. It’s the perfect way to just decompress and enjoy a few moment of peace for yourself.

No matter what you do whether you’re a stay at home mom, first time mom or working women. Being pregnant comes with many changes and anything we can do for ourselves to help make that process a little easier is always a good thing. And I hope these items are just as helpful to you as they are to me. Let me know some of your favorite pregnancy items below and let’s help each other out on this amazing journey!
